Our Story

Not Just a Club. A Calling.

Since 1859, one idea has powered every bandage wrapped and every hand held: humanity first.

1859

The Battle of Solferino

Henry Dunant walked onto a battlefield and saw only suffering — not sides. That single choice built a movement.

1920

Indian Red Cross Society Founded

India answers the call. Relief becomes a promise kept nationwide, state by state.

1922

Junior Red Cross Begins

The idea goes younger. If children learn compassion early, peace gets a real head start.

Today

Kannur District Unit

Now it's local. A President, Secretary and Treasurer lead cadets across Kannur's schools — same mission, same motto: I Serve.

Pillar 1

Health (ആരോഗ്യം)

First aid mastery, hygiene education, and emergency medical response skills for every cadet.

Pillar 2

Service (സേവനം)

Voluntary blood donation, disaster relief assistance, and active school cleanliness drives.

Pillar 3

Friendship (സൗഹൃദം)

Building international goodwill, empathy, and lifelong humanitarian brotherhood among youth.

Fundamental Principles
